Yeah it has. I've been going home on lunch to show my place to potential renters. It's a process finding a good fit...but, I guess you know all about that huh

Yep. I'm stoked on the new housemates. The new girl has really stepped it up - decorating the back yard with her own plants and string lights. The new housemates also agreed to a rotating chore chart so we save money by not having a housekeeper come every two weeks. Plus our chores are weekly so the house is way cleaner. Are you renting a room or are you moving out?

I'm just dreaming of Baja in a month, right @deadhed61 @at_olw?

I'm renting a room. Glad to hear your housemate situation is going well. It's always nice to come home to a pleasant & clean environment.

Thanks man! I really appreciate that. They already sent UPS to pick it up and have a replacement being made, but perhaps we can think of some future projects, haha!

Aly was trying to get me to move down there for her work and I said hell no for those reasons. Haha. Headed out to Colorado in March.

Getting ready for a new battery. I have the tow package and I plan on running a winch in the future. Any recommendations?

I've heard good things about Sears DieHard Platinum and I've never had a problem with Optima.

All shit is a fantastic company if you're interested in half assed products (just use grease to fill the void created with 18mm bolts and 19mm bushings!), terrible customer service (unless you do enjoy getting talked down to), bad tech (it's a great idea to run the panhard into the exhaust!) and ridiculously slow shipping (they'll lie to you about it along the way). While its truly baffling how poorly most automotive (and especially offroad) vendors operate, all shit takes the cake. Or maybe marlin. I go back and forth on that. There's a reason I do my own maintenance and fab work.

Counting down the days! Both in excitement and because of the sheer amount of shit I need to get done before then! :welder::sawzall:

Sadly those were discontinued for real this time, maybe a year ago. I have two of those in my pile. They're rebranded odyssey. Or at least that's what internet people associate them with, when in fact they're all produced by EnerSys. Most batteries come from one of a couple different plants. You can find identical versions from odyssey, northstar, etc. The sears were just the cheapest branding if you used coupons and timed it right, which is probably why they didn't make any money and stopped selling them when their contract expired. It's kind of unfortunate as I'm in the market for a new aux battery, but I may just limp it along for a while longer. My starting battery is still fine.

So I'm heading up the 395 next week and my girl wants to go to some hot springs. Anybody know a good spot to camp for free near some? I found some spots off Benton Crossing road by Hot Creek, does anybody have any better suggestions?
