I have not installed the STs. I bought them on the Labor day sale even though I would not need new tires for severs months. Had no problems with Duratracs during the 30k miles.

I've had my Duratracs 8-9mos. After I got them installed, they shook right around 60mph. Took them back and had them road force balanced. It was better but still there. I just lived with it for awhile then I ran across a thread on here where guys were running a higher pressure (37-38psi). Man,what a HUGE difference! The shaking was gone and the driving experience was all-around better. A far as traction goes, haven't really seen the snow yet. Rain traction is good, unless it's barely wet out then they do want to spin on the start. Off road capabilities for me have been positive. I go places in 2wd where my BIL has trouble in his Silverado.

I have been in the same dilemma and then one of my junk dunlops got a puncture. I have never seen this before, it was punctured by a wheel weight! lol it was on the edge of the tire so it was unrepairable. DARN! I am getting the Goodyear duratracs on monday. A local guy who has an 07 taco has had 2 sets of the general AT2's and then the Duratracs. He recommended the duratracs over the Generals, he said it's almost no comparison. especially in winter conditions which is my main concern. This is in Iowa, it gets really cold and the snow gets packed and stays packed for a while. I'm excited to try them although I am a little skeptical since my experiences with goodyear hasnt't been very good in the psat, however those have all been the oem tire that came on certain vehicles, which are rarely good tires. For reference I was between the Hankooks, bfg K02, general AT2 and the duratracs.
