    Saw a 2nd gen Tacoma 4x4 with an LS1 at the expo this year... the fab wasn't the best but that motor and t/c were in there with zero firewall modifications. Got my gears turning....

    Don't get me started, I semi researched twin-charging by adding a turbo. Would be cheaper and easier to just take off the SC and add a giant turbo. When I've got the funds, I'll be picking up a UCON from URD with some more performance stuff, will have at least 300RWHP butbut hoping for 350 or so

    Nope, but I got the 110 adapter so I can weld smaller stuff. I think I'm supposed to keep it to 3/16" or smaller on 110, but don't quote me on that. Finally stopped by Jerry's and he let me raid his trash pile for a couple pieces, and we chatted about skids. I never realized just how fuckin beefy his skids are until seeing them in person. He'll be modifying one for me to fit my high clearance front, shortly. :D

    I mean it's cool and all, but why overcomplicate it?

    Unless your plans are to just wheel Pismo and Hollister, something to keep in mind with an offroad toy is parts availability, redneck engineering, or "borrowing" shit from buddies when you're miles from civilization. Every single one-off part that you add becomes a risk and reliability question mark.

    At the end of the day it's still a truck. You can get damn close to 300 at the wheels with just the 2.85 pulley and a 255 fuel pump.
