Whats up guys? Adventures in the PNW have been fun so far but ran in to a bit of a problem...a soggy taco!

It's been raining a shit load up here and noticed my passenger floorboard was wet. I did the usual stuff (checked window seal, checked for water entering via cabin filter, checked for a clogged A/C drain line) to no avail. I noticed is would pool up near the kick panel and thought it might be bad weather seals but nope. So I pulled carpet and let it sit out in the rain while I went out and checked every 10min. Sure enough I found a pin
hole int the panel seal where water was trickling in. Red arrow marks the area of leak, green is pass door for reference.

Had some time to get in there and look around some more. Pulled carpet a little higher and noticed that two panels came apart, looks like the stuff they use to seal them together gave way and thats where water in entering. Called a body shop and said JB Weld would seal it up so I cleaned it up, sanded, degreased, and slapped on a good helping of that and now its curing. Hopefully this is the fix I need but I'm still wondering if water normally travels between those body panels:confused:

Maybe the jumps and bumps took their toll. I guess I never noticed since it didn't really rain back home.

What's up man! So how do you like it up there? It's definitely a lot more wet then here that's for sure. @Alfred knows a thing or two about a soggy taco. He went a little too deep in our recent river run. There are pics a page or two back.

That body sealant is a crazy spot for it to leak. Maybe the sealant has dried up due to age? Can you see the other side of it, or is it covered in the body? Hopefully that works, or I guess you could scrape it off and redo that whole area. I hope it's an isolated incident, and not too common. The only leak I had was when I had some wires routed across the cabin filter opening and water dropped in through there. I'm glad that's all it was. Let us know if that fixes it!

Ha! Sometimes we bite off more than we can chew, flooded my truck once and had to remove everything but the driver seat, It felt like I was driving a race truck for a few days:rofl:

I wanted to remove my fender to see it from the other side but the apartment manager is strict on the "working on your car" stuff...it's not like I'm gonna spill oil everywhere but whatever.

It's cool up here and seeing new stuff but I never thought I'd miss that dry ol valley! lol.

It's a valero gas station now, no longer shell. If it's the same one I'm thinking about. On the left hand side right before the turn out to bass lake?

Went to Fresno dome Wednesday and saw the sign.

At least it's put to good use: dinner!

I know of many fisherman who catches fish and put them into freezer only...

I practice catch and release so everyone can have fun if I don't plan on eating the fish...
