Until someone catches you 1/2 repping then you're like bro my knee can't handle it or my elbows messed up right.

Exactly what I told everyone she'd say. I missed 30 mins of work and wasted another 45 at the dr office to hear exactly what I knew I would. Damn it.

"Take it easy for 2-4 weeks. Nothing is broken. It's either a deep contusion or something else muscular. No clinical symptoms of a break, maybe a micro-fracture if anything. Either way, there's no treating it, you just have to let it heal. "

Then, she got me in the feels:

"The only reason you're Doing as well as you are is because you're obviously strong and in very good shape. You have full range of motion, you're good."

BLAAAAA this is the worst...dealt with it last year. Look on the bright side, you can finally get a little rest, let that central nervous system full recover, and come back and rip it. When I was out for 3 months injured I lost a lot of weight but I think I am back now stronger than I ever was....only took a year though...thats the crappy part.

I'll still go in and do arms, shoulders, and legs. I won't be totally out of commission.

I could only do legs and walk. And by legs I mean leg extensions and leg presses. I dropped 23 lbs in the first 2 months and then another 10 the following.

Hey, when the wife and I first started dating in 2009, I was 140 lbs lol. Now, I'm 209. She likes me ripped. I like being strong, but not enough to be 40% bf. We compromised and I get to bulk in the winter and get cut in the summer. Goal this year is to bulk up enough to hit 220 lbs and then cut to 200 and maintain a lean 200 4 lyfe. I just HATE the way I look at 180. I feel like a bitch.

Yeah, we've got a couple of those guys. One is our gym's biggest douche. Dude wears sunglasses in the gym. I used to work at the gym, so I got to see a lot of shit. This dude would only come in like twice a week and he only did chest and arms every time. The worst part about it is that he's sooooo fucking loud. He slams all his weights down and grunts like crazy.....aaaaaand he also wears pants every day because his legs look like straws.

The other guy is an old school powerlifter. Guy is probably 5'7", in his mid 50's and strong as hell for his age. You can tell he's built like a brick wall, too. Only downside is that everyone calls him Quarter-Rep. EVERYTHING he does, he quarter reps: curls, squats, pullups, etc. He also grunts loud as fuck. He's a nice guy, but his form is shit.

And you pulled your pants down when she said that, right? That's how they do it in the pornos.

Starting today in a hole. Got dragged to a Neil Degrasse Tyson lecture last night so I pregamed pretty hard :anonymous:.

I actually ended up really enjoying his talk though.

I meant to ask, but didn't wanna blow you up on FB...did you actually get to see him live? You know he's like the Jay Cutler of the science world, right? (Carl Sagan being Arnold, of course).

@zacharypaul89 there was a terminator marathon on IFC last night. Thought of you every time Arnold was naked. Is that weird?

Lol yeah I saw your comments. My neighbor had 2 tickets and had been telling me about this event for the last 2 months and how excited he was about it. I thought he was nuts. He calls me yesterday around lunch and said his wife had to bail so I had to come with him. We were in row N so 14 rows away haha. I thought it was going to be over the top science talk and completely over my head. He literally spent 2.5 hours going through a bunch of different movies and making fun of where they got the science wrong. I love movies so it totally had me engaged the whole time...

Yeah, I was telling my wife about your status and said, "If Tyson knew he called him an astrologist, he'd murder him" lol. I was supposed to go see him at the Fox Theater a few months back, but couldn't go because of school. If I weren't pursuing law, I'd be an astronomer or something like that. I fucking love all that outer space shit, man. Also, Tyson used to be a pretty bad dude...

Rallied for a pretty good leg(ham) day but about 30min in I was really feeling the debauchery from last night creeping in. Closest I've been to throwing up mid workout in a while. Won't be going off the deep end again for a while :anonymous:

Maybe bc you said something I was paying attention today moreso than usual but I did notice a guy who I see often in there quarter-repping close grip bench but I thought maybe he was just burning out or something...Then I was talking to the guy who works at the gym later on and he said something about it and said he quarter/half reps every workout. I told him to call him out and he told me that he also does MMA so we both decided we'd leave him be...

Working out hungover is the worst. I always feel like I am gonna puke, I am lightheaded, I sweat like a hog, and my lifts are shit. The only positive is that I usually feel much better afterwards. Lifting heavy and then hitting the steam room has always been the best hangover cure for me.
