Thanks guys! So stoked to finally have bluetooth too. Got a little more work to do extending the USB to a specific spot near my cup holders but thats it.

It's a kenwood DDX372BT. Nice and cheap but still a ton of features.

 

Depends on wheel width and offset. Put them on, cycle the suspension, and cut as needed. I overcut mine for 35s.

Yea that's what I was wondering too. Curious who's skid plate design they stole cuz you know damn well they didn't come up with their own.

The 2nd gen Tacoma community did a good job policing its self and respecting others designs for almost 10 years. Now it seems "copy someone else's design and sell it as your own" seems to be the sad new agenda.

 

Wonder if my slider design will ever hit the market...hahaha

 

I think the skid plate is the trd one... but I mean skids can't really be made more than 1 way honestly... i mean yeah you can put different features and stuff on them but a skid is a skid. But copying a grille... thats a whole nother story

Not really a big deal but you aren'5 getting anything good if its the trd skid he offers... you are better off just waiting and buying a full set of actual skid plates

It's a light gauge steel really will not help you very much on the trail

I was just researching skids at work. What's the best value cost v strength? I was looking at 3/16" steel

 

Do you have a link to the skid you purchased? Is it the TRD offroad copycat skid thats 10 gauge steel?

 

Usually cost isn't the issue, weight is what ppl worry about. I used 3/16" steel reinforced with 1"x1"x1/8" angle iron welded on, in my opinion it is the best combo of weight and strength for what I do

 

They are no longer stamped with trd but with bpf and yes 10 gauge steel it says

 

Not to be a Debbie downer but that's not gonna cut it on the trails even greens. One slip up not paying attention and you'll bend that. Also some people say the tow hook does more harm than good because it's bulky and hangs down low. One outing with @planters15 and I saw it first hand
