But it's his truck. He didn't ask what people thought about his idea. He asked for specifics about something. :notsure:

but when no one would want to see such an abomination no one will really give any tips lol.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
I feel like Nelson is like 18 and his parents are funding his truck.
Or he watches that show diesel brothers on discovery too much and wants to make his taco look like that.

Ok, im gonna swoop in here and jack your thread.. sorry.
    Good luck on the 22"s!

Ive done "some" searches on here for 3gen tacoma with 17" steel wheels.
Until I wear down these TOYOS i put on my OEM wheels and buy new wheels and tires, id like to buy a cheap set of steelies..
For now without having to get spacers I want some offset to push my em out.
    Something like this..
    Suggestions?

I like those black rock ones, but I wonder the weight.
I'm looking at konig six shooters since they're 20lbs a wheel.

an all black 20 would look good with a 285/50 tire. though you might need to do a little plastic trimming because these wheel wells are tiny. A 50 series tire will not ride like a dump truck.

I went with an 18x9 and I honestly REGRET the choice as I feel even at 18 there 2 large and that's lifted on 33x12.50 DONT GO LARGER THAN 17s

    not at all lol.
Look is least of my concern function is all I care about.
I daily drive but go off road as well. So I need something with a 0mm offset or -offset, 17x8. Don't want to be like everyone else with the FN pro rims.
The Konigs are light, I'll be adding enough unsprung weight with running a 32"+ tire. So just looking to save weight wherever I can.
My commute is usually 35miles round trip as long as I'm working downtown, but part of my line of work and being in the union I could end up having a 65-80mile round trip. Could be even more but unlikely to be that much. Basically I live in the suburbs just outside of the city east end of the city. Last year around this time I was sent to a job that was north west suburbs of the city. So it was 150km round trip for me. With that in mind MPG is a bit of a concern for me. I wish I could just throw some 285 70 17 on or 255 80 17, get 14mpg and not give a shit.

On average my Jetta gets 600km a tank city. about 850km a tank hwy 50L tank. (its modified so MPG is shit for a TDI)
I usually fill up once every two weeks when I'm in the city. If I'm out of the city like last year I was filling up once a week. Gas is also more than diesel is here so saving some efficiency is a concern. Our fuel is supposed to be going up again with a new 4cent/L tax on it so upwards of 1.15/L

Considering I'll have armour and what not, any place I can save weight I'm interested. I'll probably be going with some aluminum armour just for that (transfercase and transmission) Sliders and front skid will still be steel so there's weight added already.
Include bed rack and all gear when camping.

But HE does and that's all that matters. Despite the Taco's reputation for offroad prowess......not everyone cares about that. Some people just want what looks good to them.

If someone is being a dick....I say eat him up and spit him out. But when someone comes around just looking for advice on something SUBJECTIVE, we should allow that person the space to do as they please without so much hate.

This isn't his first thread like this though
Before it was tactical rims lmao.
Point is not many on here will want to see it, so no one will really go out of the way to show it.
He might have better luck finding info elsewhere. Not many here will help because they all think its stupid. And some are saying no for a reason, like someone else posted above. with 18s the ride is terrible. and with 22s he'll need to do a lot of lift and it will just cause problems. People are telling him not to for a reason.
