Built a roof rack a few weeks ago. Followed a DIY guide from @ERMB
Turned out a pretty nice. Have some work to do with the mounting but its good enough for now.

Got Total Chaos UCA installed today ( thanks for them @mrbedgood ). Also put on extended 5100s in the rear / brake lines. Need U bolt flip and longer bump stops now.

They are both a thin sheet of aluminum. Cut out cardboard and sized it how I wanted it. Then traced it on the aluminum sheet and cut. Used a dremal. Took a while, if you had the proper tools you could do it 10x faster.
The front is okay, it's a little thin and will make some wind noise at 70+. Nothing crazy. But I might change it all to a thicker cut steel later on.

Rack looks great! I'm looking to do something similar and I'm curious what you used to mount the rack to the stock roof rack mounting points.

Thanks! I used a galvanized pipe. I believe it was 1" outer diameter... it may have been 3/4". Not sure. But cut them to 3" length. And it will go right over the mounting holes. If you have any other questions let me know. Also check out the DIY link in my build. And scroll through some of the pages, you'll see my comments on how exactly I mounted it all on.

They are okay. I put them on when i lived in NC. only off roading there were swamps and mud. lol. I now live in colorado, and its snowy, they are garbage in the snow. my wifes civic gets better traction. the large smooth lugs may be good in mud and loose conditions, but not here in the snow.
they are loud (which i like, but to each his own). I haven't noticed any issues with just wet roads, no slippage at all. Its just the snow that beats them.
Ill be switching to KO2s once i get the money. But again, only because they dont perform well in the snow. which is understandable for a mud tire.

I really like the Tacoma badge relocation. Got a closer pic of that by chance? Liking this build. Somewhat of where I want to take my 11 Sport.
