I'll have a better picture of it this weekend. I'm going to start prepping it for paint tonight. I've already filled in the area under the taillights.

Still haven't needed to winch anything yet, but mounting with the U.S. Offroad kit just paid for itself in avoided hassle and lost time.

Some woman in a Nissan Armada backed into me at a red light, caved in the end of her bumper and bent the bracket for one of my off road lights (also might have shifted my remaining plastic bumper around in a way that I'll have to loosen and re-tighten a couple screws to fix). The only thing she was able to say to me regarding the accident is "I don't speak much English", gotta love L.A....

Amazing post. Is there anyway we could get it updated to include some of the links that are now broken.

Fab Fours rear bumper, super easy install (less than an hour by myself) and looks great if you ask me.

Made a thread with no response, so reposting this here:

I've been going back and forth between Pelfreybilt's standard rear and their swing-out, but I'm just not sure I can justify the swing-out cost. I guess the limiting factor would be whether or not it will affect the fitment of my current 255/85/16 spare that is under there.

As you can see in the photos, the factory hitch is really the space limiting factor, so if anything there could potentially be more space with Pelfreybilt's. Their integrated hitch concerned me at first, but as you can see there is quite a gap in the area above the factory hitch which hopefully would allow for a receiver to sit there without bumping the tire.

    Has anybody done it firsthand?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
are you getting a swing out and not using it for the spare?

No I'm trying to decide between their standard rear (non swingout) and their swingout version, on the basis of whether the spare can stay down there or not. If I got the swingout it would definitely get put on that, but there's the cost that is holding me back.

I emailed Pelfreybilt directly and they said they have a friend that does indeed have a 255/85/16 spare underneath with the standard rear.

I directly asked if the 255 would fit since that's what I'm running. I'm guessing you have 285's though.. I'd assume that would fit as well since the diameter is basically the same, just wider.

Still can't make up my mind between a Pelfreybilt and Brute Force standard rear. I like the middle of the Pelfreybilt (light configuration) and ends of the BFF (follows the fender better) arrrrrrrrggggggg.

I see a lot of vendors with "hybrid bumpers." What does this mean exactly?
