does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix this? My Tacoma tells me my phone is not compatible with the ability to show on screen message and/or read me my messages. Thanks

Had my truck at the dealer today to check fluid levels and also told them my text message read function stopped working after the first week. Service advisor said Entune and IPhones not completely compatible but Apple is working on it. Seems weird mine worked great the first week then just stopped. I've tried all the recommendations on here.

Throw me in the "works fine" bucket. One thing I haven't had an issue with so far is with Entune and my iPhone. I seem to be in the minority though, that or the silent majority.

Favorite contacts transfer, audio sounds fine when I use it, phone calls work, navigation works when using google maps (audio plays though), and it can read my text messages. I also have an Apple Watch paired with it to respond with and that works with it as well.

iPhone 6s on 9.3.1 as of the last update. Also worked with my 6 Plus on 9.2 before I sold it. Haven't tested my backup 5 though. But it's way back on iOS 7 still and sits in a box till called upon.

I did have to turn on "show notifications" in the Bluetooth menu though. I also do not use the Entune app as I found it pretty worthless.

No, I actually had not done the update until yesterday. We are picking up the truck today, so I'll try it again. If the phones aren't compatible, why did it work so well at first?! Oh well, hopefully we can get it to work eventually. Seems odd the most popular phone on the market doesn't work.

Been having issues with my audio cutting out since I went from a 6 to a 6s. OS update at the same time as well which is probably the culprit. Also do not have the ability to do dictation, talk to text, via my truck's audio anymore either. And I never could get it to read back my text...not or before my 6s. I'm sure it would just take a bit of research on my part, but thought I would toss it here.

Have you update the entune software? I just purchased on 4/4 and had both issues as discussed above. Since entune update no issues at all and full connectivity with 5S and 6. I hope this helps.

I have actually, but that is a good idea since I haven't checked for an update since I got the truck in Oct. I'm going to check for another update just to see. Thanks!

Sorry to dig up an old post but I just got the iPhone 7. Messaging worked brilliantly with my iPhone 6, but can't get it to work with new phone. Anyone have any ideas? Thx!

On the phone go to Settings, then bluetooth, then mash the info button on the right where your truck is listed, then turn on "show notifications"

Oh, well hell, thanks Murrayb4. I really thought I'd covered everything (manual, forum searching, flipping through every option on phone and truck) and somehow I'd missed that. Much obliged for the tip.
