I'll be picking up a new 2017 TRD Off Road this week and am having difficulty deciding on lift/wheel/tires setups. Most of the builds that I like (based on photos) seem to be running ~33s with 3" lifts. Not sure that I need anything serious like King, though I'm sure their products are incredible. I will be doing some average offroading in this truck and I would like to maintain a decent ride for highway travel. I live in Austin and am planning on moving to Utah or Colorado soon.

I've seen a few 4" BDS builds that I like but I've read that they can't fit R17s. I don't really want R18 wheels - I'd prefer R17s. My ideal build would be 4" with 33"s, or something close to it.

Please understand I have limited knowledge with these setups, which is why I am asking you for help...(I've browsed the 'What you need to know about lifting a 2016 Tacoma - by Toytec' thread on here several times). Ready to pull the trigger and order some parts! What would you recommend?

Thank you! Looking forward to posting about my build once it's underway.

I would def recommend Toytec for a beginner type setup. You can always go bigger/better but I think you will find Toytec stuff great.

That being said there are tons of options depending on how much $$$ you want to spend
