Awesome ink! I've been begging my Navy-vet step-dad to get a full sleeve American flag with a golden eagle on it.

He won't do it.....

 

Thanks! I'm pretty much healed up now - went in for a little touch up after that pic was taken. My body seems to like to eat red and blue inks. Here's a full view - taken a few days after getting it done originally. I was in the Pentagon on 9/11 in the area hit by the plane and had this one done to commemorate the 15th anniversary. The eagle is standing on a pentagonal shaped piece of rubble - I have an actual piece of the Pentagon's façade with my name on it that many of us who were there on the Army staff that day were given.



Can't remember if I posted this before but this is my left side:




I got the left done in March of this year - so I was about a month short of my 61st birthday. Not sure what/if I'll do now. For now, though, I'm loving them both.

I'm digging the artwork Mark I plan to get another tattoo on my right arm with the US & Marine Corps flags crossed with the words..."These Colors Never Run"

 

Thanks, Nick! I look forward to seeing your planned piece. And thank you for your Service!! My Dad was a Marine (end of WWII and served in Korea) and he had a killer skull and snake tattoo. I always wondered why he didn't opt for something like yours or a globe and anchor - he was extremely proud of his service. Lost my chance to ask when he died in '97 while I was commanding my battalion in Bosnia.

My boy, wife and I. Had the photographer dangle a chicken finger over the camera to get my wife to smile. She never does, especially in bed.
