How much weight will they support? Partial answer: 700 Yamaha Grizzly with ease. Over 500 miles of Northern Saskatchewan Canada gravel and dirt roads and not even a mark on the plastic box sides. Should be noted that the straps holding the quad are the box factory loops, so there is the quad plus the pull downward from the straps to secure it. It only is sitting on the 2x6 notches on the box sides, no other contact points.

Looks like a money having sexual relations with a football.

Can we get some more pics of the platform, looks like a good idea so you can haul all your stuff without a trailer

Do not have a photo, sorry, but its a simple 2x6 bridged across using the pockets with a trifold loading ramp sitting on top the 2x6's , then the quad sits on that. The folding box cover can still fold down when quad is unloaded, keeping whatever I leave in the box out of sight while riding. Plus points, can still put stuff under it in box and tailgate is closed, no weight on tailgate. Negative points, loading it (high climb) and it looks like a monkey having relations with a football ,, LOL

Yea since I out the lift on my truck I never liked riding my four-wheeler up ramps into the bed, looks like you have a real steep ride.

Can you get that big of a ATV in the bed? My Honda 500 just barely fit between the fender wells

It will not fit in with tailgate closed, climbs the wheel wells and drops infront of them. I built an ATV riser which worked well, but took up box space. But the truck hauls the weight well.

By factory loops do you mean the metal d-rings in the bed?

Ironpeak4x4: The sides of the box have notches moulded into them to place a 2x6 cross ways in order to haul a 4x8 sheet of plywood or drywall. I used the same notches to support the weight of the Quad in the first photo. Then the factory d rings to hold the quad secure with ratchet straps

Cool idea..... But if you have a chance to shoot some pic's of the 2x6 and how the Grizzly sits on the 2x6 it would be great.

The cross piece is tight fit to the side walls and no worry about side to side movement, the brace is more to hold it in place when dropping it in and removing it. Then I removed the centre section of a tri-folding loading ramp to allow the straps to hook on the A arms of the quad and not rub and wear. Upgraded to 2x8's for even more support and better fit in box sides
