    A thing or two...
    Thanks all for the welcomes.

It is quite a change moving out here spending all my life in the Southwest (TX, NM, CA). I've been at the new job for 3 months, and I'm not impressed so far. I have to stick it out for a year, so I don't have to pay back the relocation bonus. :rofl:Everyone told me before I moved that the traffic was going to suck, but honestly, it hasn't been that bad. I've only been stuck once because of an accident trying to cross the Nice Bridge. When I'm over in Fredericksburg, I try to avoid I-95 because that traffic is crap. It slows to a stop for no damn reason.

I'm having a hell of a time finding somewhere to go shooting that isn't 90 minutes away. There's a private club in King George, but their website hasn't been updated in a long time and got no response when I emailed some of the contacts on the site. There's the Fredericksburg Club but their membership and waiting list are full. Also, just to get on the waiting list you have to have a member sponsor you. :annoyed:

Eventually, I need to figure out where to go hunting too. Back in NM, I hunted elk, quail and small game.

Too bad you arnt in the NOVA area as we have a few shooting ranges around here that just require you to take a test as I think its pretty diverse up here, so there wouldn't be much of a reason to have a referral. As far as traffic, just a hobby people have up here with showing off their vehicles in traffic! How else are you going to get the max use out of your satellite radio???

Damn right bro! Especially with your commute, you got to make sure you have a shark mouth to turn heads quick before you are at work! Or else how will we know you actually leave your house?o_O

Welcome sir! I'm out in Culpeper. Not to to far away. If you ever want to shoot just let me know. I'm down and have a few places to go privately in small groups.

If it was it was delicious.
Baby Jims is a little hole in the wall food shack that's been in Culpeper for years. Horribly bad for you but oh so delicious.

    Tell me about it.

I was on the roof of the building most of Saturday from 6 am till noon, working on a chilled water plant... Oh the things an IT guy has to do, that they don't tell you about when you choose IT as a career...

That is something likely I would be expected of to do over an IT guy. Def interesting.
