Mine is a quiet generator - sits under our back porch and can barely be heard from inside the house. Ours runs on propane.....we don't have natural gas lines out here so our whole house uses propane to fire the boiler for the radiant heat system as well as the hot water and the cook stove. I have a 1000 gal tank buried in the ground about 35 ft from the end of our garage. When we ran for 5 days straight I used maybe 1/4 of it so I'm not worried about deliveries.

Whadda u want us to talk about, knitting and sewing? :) My last job of 11 years, I worked with all women, all I'd hear was how their kids were doing in school, sewing, cooking. No motorcycle or off roading, truck stuff, camping.

At least you heard talk..... office I work in there is NO TALK 99% of the time :( (other than about work) If there's any, it's usually me. Would love to talk truck stuff or camping or off roading... But also love to talk about the kids and cooking

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.....

    Morning all:
Jim and I went up to the river last night, little better than last week and it was my turn to show him how it's done! :D
I had 4 walleyes and a striper, he didn't have a fish, funny how that works sometime.
1 walleye was 28 1/4" and the other 18 1/2", the two others were short and around 17".
A 28 1/4" walleye isn't a trophy, but most would consider it to be a good fish, makes the trips worth it to get one here and there, keeps Jim in line also!
You know how those young guys get when they think they're better than the old guy that taught them!!!!!
At least he got some practice netting last night! :)

Morning all . Nice catch Carl. How do they freeze for future dinner?

Speaking of dinner, any favorite Thanksgiving recipes? My favorite is the missus Apple, Cranberry Walnut Pie. I'll post the recipe later after the missus gets up. Post 'em if you can.

That pie sounds awful good Ken, never heard of it.

The Walleyes freeze well, when we're really doing a number on them the freezer is well stocked. An old fishing and hunting buddy and I went up last night and caught 6 more walleyes and 1 striper, nothing over 21 inches though.

Now come on Don, they're not that ugly! They do taste excellent, but believe it or not, panfish such as bluegills, crappies, and perch, are some of the best tasting.

Hers the missus recipe Carl. She uses 4 or 5 different types of apples(adds flavor) and disregard the note about preheating the oven to 425. The original recipe didn't use walnuts, but the missus added them .TDN091.pdf. Try opening it and if it doesn't open, let me know and Ill try to reformat it as a JPEG.

FedEx just left, check in hand a few minutes ago for my half of the sale of my late moms place. Finally. What to do with the majority of it now to get a little income. I have my IRA and two annuities.
I can start on my "want" list now. First up I think, 4 strictly winter tires and wheels, new computer, cell phone ( I heard they don't use a cord like my rotary phones), imagine that?

Got it Ken, SKY HIGH sure seems to describe it by the looks of it! Thanks

Sounds like you are spending wisely Duane, one of these days I may have to get a cell phone. so far I haven't seen a need for one. Well maybe, if it also had a camera I would take more pics., but it would probably end up falling in the river!

Looking for wheels and tires. May buy Les Schwab tires, Wild Country XTX Sport, but go out of town to buy wheels, don't care for the wheels they have. Discount Tire wheels? The LS tires have good reviews, traction, mileage what I'm looking for, not a dedicated snow tire as I may travel some in the winter. Thoughts?

In the past, I havn't gotten the mileage out of Coopers I would have liked, I even worked for through a mini market, a west coast distributor of Cooper tires. So I at least got a break on price. Reading one of the tire threads here, at least one of the Cooper styles was mentioned and well liked. We do have a Cooper tire dealer in town, they get tires from where I worked.

Sorry to hear that Susan. My last dog died in front of me, I'd learned a few days before that he had cancer.
