I'm going to post the obvious at the risk of being flamed. Has anyone tried black shoe polish? If so, how'd it work and what's the cost difference between that and the Back-to-Black?

Back to black, worked on everything.....cept the trim around driver/passenger windows.

Still have the faded, dull look there.:confused:

I like Adam's VRT for exterior plastic. Dry to the touch and lasts a long time.

I got sick of always back to blacking my flares which always looked ashy. So, I sanded them down and sprayed them with Plasti-cote from Home depot about a month ago, and they look new and havent faded yet.

So I read somewhere that a propane torch works good to burn off the oxidation. Mine looked like crap so what the hell??? Last nite I got out the torch, I used propane gas! Not MAP gas, I will be dammed! It came out tits! Looks great, DO not get the torch to close! it will melt your shiot! After I torched it I wiped it down and used back to black on it to maybe seal it? We will see what happens in a couple of weeks and post back on it. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I was thinking about doing the same thing but I didn't want to chance the tire shine drying out or damaging the fender. Good to know.
