I currently run P rated shoes the summer and 10-ply studs in the winter. The 10-ply are WAAAAAAAAAAAY overkill but were very affordable so I went w/ them.

Looking into c-rated "6-ply" shoes but am not getting good search results.

If you're running this spec rubber please let me know what the tire is and if you're into it!

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I was for about 10k. They came on a set of rims I wanted and the guy didnt want to split. They were snow rated and I ran them for one fall and one northest winter, then cross country and one midwest winter. Great in the snow, they were snow tires tombegin with. Super soft and quiet on road manners, but they dont last long. I took them offroad a couple of times in Sangri De Christo range and they got cut up pretty bad. I liked them but I also wasnt trying to preserve them or get my monies worth. They were free so I used them and then resold them when I was done. I was too neevous offroad in colorado that I was going to cut one down. I have sliders, winch, rack, armor and other additional weight as well.

Goodyear wrangler duratracs 245/75/16. Love them in the snow. A skinnier tire is better in the snow

Would make a good snow. But the overall diameter deviates from the OEM 265 70R16.

Perhaps I should be more clear:

WHO RUNS ANY 6-Ply "C" rated tire in the OEM size 265 70R16.
The main reason I ask is because I'm interested in a slide in pop-top camper (like a Northstar or Four Wheel Camper) and feel the need to run a 3 ply sidewall to do so.

Not an easy size to find C-load.
-Hankook Dynapros ATs come in D-load
-BFG KOs come in D-load (original KO not KO2).

Going up a size to 265/75R16 or 265/70/R17 opens up more C-load options.

Tirerack.com allows you to filter tire size by load range.

    Tirecalc is your friend!

Never looked at 245 74R16 as an alternative. Gotta expand my mind I guess :rasta:

Now to use the search feature!

Wow. So is the consensus that no one out there is making a 265/70/16 Load C tire?

I have search here on TW and all over the web and just cant find a load C all terrain the the 2016 OEM TRD OR size tire. Looks like it if forcing me to go up one size to the 265/75/16 to get the load C I want, but then my speedo and mileage is off.

Hopefully I am missing an option out there?

Gotta go to 17's if you want to keep the diameter OEM and run a C ply. Going from my studded 10 ply back to the summer 6 ply is like I unhooked the ghost trailer I've been hauling around all winter.

    Thanks for the feedback.

So if I go to a 17" wheel, what size tire would I then get to keep the diameter OEM? 265/65/17?
