Get some tires, make sure you have recovery points, get a snatched strap and a buddy with a 4x4 to get you unstuck. Go explore!

That said I have bumpers, sliders, 33's and 4x4... guess I went a little overboard

Was that a factory option? I should probably replace with foldable ones.

Got the bitch done. It wasn't easy - a few set backs but in the end I gotta say it's well worth it. Thanks to those that offered their experiences and to those that took the time to reply to my pms.

His method is great. Did it on my buddy's X5 and as well on my truck. Really makes a difference. That plus whiter bulbs and my headlights were definitely doing their job better.

I think you may have done a little better job than I did haha. Yours look fantastic.

What's the best halogen bulb replacement? I'm not ready to go with retrofits but want better light output as my lights currently aren't that great.

Yeah I'd like retros at some point, but the money is simply not there yet. Plus, lift and armor is more important.

These here are the ones I've got.

There are a decent amount of reviews that speak poorly of the longevity of Sylvania's SilverStar line of bulbs, so if that's important/a concern to you, perhaps look elsewhere. Though I have had them for 10 months now and have yet to see an issue with high or low beams. Working great thus far.

Of course! Been on the hunt for a 2nd gen, flirting with the idea of a 3rd gen as well. A 2nd gen would leave me with a lot more money for mods though, lol.

The plan right now is tires, OME suspension, shell, bumpers, locker.

Not exactly a replacement for 4x4 but should definitely invest in a winch

Been flirting with the idea of selling and getting a second gen, but part me thinks that I should just do a high quality $4-5k repaint on this, stock color of course.

    +1, paint looks fine.

Put that budget towards wheels and tires IMO. 1st Gen=Best Gen
