What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

APS bullguard installed

 

Changed the cabin filter, it was pretty nasty. I don't think I have replaced it on this vehicle since new. I also inspected and topped off the battery with distilled water. It's been a while since I did this, I check it about once a year.

Whenever I add water to a battery, I always toss it on a charger. I have one I use for the boat batteries that also desulficates the plates. I'll leave it on there for an overnight cycle then let it settle for an hour without the charger connected and do a battery load test. I expect all to be good but again, this is what old guys do with their free time...

 

put on the lr uca's today with my buddy. Everything went smoothly until we had to use the torque wrench to tighten a castle nut. That made it so we had to remove the sway bar. That nut with the allen key is kinda a bear and when heating it with the torch, we melted a hole into one of the uca bushings. 8.50$ later wheeler will send one in the mail. For now, duct tape! haha.

Indeed it did! And here's the pic to show how it looks. I think now I REALLY have to invest in some retros to "balance" it out.

 

Pulled the top rear bumber skin and installed Two 1/4-20 Rivit-Nuts to mount the license plate. The original threads in the plastic were stripped. Also installed the upgraded Spare Tar.

Changed out old Sirius antenna for this Tram NMO Sirius antenna. Mounted to my LED bar bracket on roof. Old one was just sitting on dash, and was giving me "check antenna" errors every now and then.

 

Thanks! And they are. The person I bought them from here already had the plug put on it. I think when you buy them they come without the plug hooked up to the wires, but it's easy to do from what I've read on here.

 

Yes Sir! Treated the holes with Rust-Oleum and should be a permanent Fix!

Well it was kind of funny, I pulled that top piece off to fix the end cap that broke loose and saw the holes. Worked perfectly.

 

Installed the @mobtown off-road sliders!
