Really, I had the procomp es300 for oem 6 lugs and it didn't feel right like it was to long or to short lol so I put the 5100s it feels way smoother, feels some what bouncy though I'm wondering if we need stock 5 lug rear shocks I have an aal but it lifted like an 1" only or so how do yours feel????

But when I lifted the front only the back sagged a little and it felt like my stock shocks would max out

Mine are now well over a year old, with 22,000 km's on them - they've settled down with the truck now being about 3/4" below level, with the addition of the ARB bumper (+120lbs over front axle). Ride characteristics remain firm and neutral.

    I'm happy with them.

@dingoatemebaby read through this thread. There's a lot of good info and people in here. A lot of them have build threads that can help you out, too. So, welcome!

Regearing next week putting in new shocks to. Is it worth putting in the 4600 struts in the front? im getting the 5100 rears or the fox shocks. 4.10 gears on the way. gonna cost me a grand for shocks/regear, but its worth it to me.

Err.. only $1000.00? Are you doing all the work yourself?

4600's are a good rep, general purpose upgrade alternative to the OEM. They are the maximal length allowable, with the OEM UCA's. This includes with use of a 'spacer' lift at 2.75". I don't know anything about the Fox shocks .. i'm still pissed with them deserting the motorcycle market.. 5100's, i'm running 'em with no complaints.

shocks total cost is $340 for all four, regear is $300 for 4.10, $50 for the differntial fluid, and another 100 for tow winch. totals around $790 in parts. I work at a mechanic shop since I wanted to get into the trade while going to a college working for experience, I can do the shocks myself:curls:, but the regear im having the shop owner do since he is very good at them. He knows how to do them and has like 40+ years. I was thinking $300 would be a good deal or I could just buy them itunes cards since they like a game on there. :benchpress: Regear here I come,:bikewheelie: wish I could get a locker, but I guess ill just invest in a tow winch since im not doing anything to hardcore.

1 day . They had 1 pair left after I bought mine. That might be a day to late. How ever they would be easy to make. Just need to find the ball joint with the snap ring housing . The housing looks like cut pipe but has a groove cut for snaprings. and could weld the pipe to that . Everything else is just straight pipe no bends. Thought about making them but didn't know the actual size. So I was forced to buy. So if anybody wants measures let me know. I can get them.

Well the strut came today. Good news and bad. So I'll tell you the bad . The strut is the same length as are strut with spacer. But the spring it hangs down two inches lower then are strut. So the uca is the deal breaker. It's going to rub. Those fucking control arms. I didn't test it just took measurements. But are strut has less spring length to clear Uca . So the spring sits higher. If you can get that . . Good news if you have the aftermarket control arms this could be a cheap fix to having to buy those overpriced coilovers. So next step is finding coils for the bilstiens 5100's 1st gen strut and giving that a try. If you want pics or measurements just ask.

i don't really have time . have to work to pay the bills. And these over priced control arms i just bought. if you (other , 5lugers) didn't live so far you could just build them with my tools. and your supplies . id share. and the welding if that was an issue id show you how to do it. Even if you made your own there still like 400 for the parts. . if you wanted to pursue this on your own. go to Kartex.com and go to the fabrication section everything you need is there. and other cool stuff as well . for building stuff.

Thats all I got right now. Haven't had time to mess with it. The tape is center with the bolt hole. So if you measure just center tape on bolt center.
