I was doing a little wiring for my stereo/ham radio...

Under the left side kick panel there is a wire tap with a fuse holder that goes into a smaller plastic cable shield that goes down the rocker panel then hangs a right just behind the back seat and goes to the center of the truck. I didn't want to tear the back flooring up to see where it went to. Any idea?IMG_0899.jpg

I have had three gens of tacos and have never seen a factory wire tap.

Did you have Lo-Jack or any other dealer accessories installed?

Put a toner on it and find it in the back?
Saves you from needing to rip anything up if you have a decent one.
Decent one can be had for like $25 and come in handy for future things.

Pull the fuse and see what stops working.

    Thanks

Doh... Pull the fuse. Great idea.

This truck was brought in from another dealer.

    No tailgate lock or lights.

It was done very neatly and well wire tied, even taped the end of sheathing.

I've got to run one more wire.... I'll figure this out.

I'll keep you up to date.

Seems like when i done my aftermarket backup cam i had to tap into a light green wire for reverse light power. May be wrong, but could go to backup camera power supply?
