New 17 inch Method Double Standards!

 

Goteverything lined up, cut, installed and functioning properly! I'm very verypleased!!!!! It was a little scary cutting the body on a new truck but it really wasn't so bad. The extra weight caused a little less than a half inch of drop in the front (I went out after and hit some moguls at speed lol) I already corrected it by cranking up a little preload on the ICONs. It wasn't noticeable looking but I'm way too OCD for that nonsense! I like the light bar mounted under the hoop. It gives the tiny hoop some purpose.

Lift and wheels ordered today. Went with 5100's and 886's up front and 5125's in the rear with Dakar leaf pack. Wheels are SCS F5's. Will post pics when I get it all installed.

 

For me it wasn't only about the chrome finish , I hated the grille ! The shape, detail etc.

it looks better but nothing is comparable to the pro grille IMO

 

Installed factory LED puddle lights today. Lights enough under there you could do an oil change. Lol!

 

What lights did you use?

How's it drive without that sway bar?

 

It's different but the best way I'd describe is it now handles like a truck lol. I definately still feel in controll but Im curious how it would be driving down a road like the CA 1 with long tight turns.


I can already say that it really allows the suspension to work. It will actually articulate now offroad and it allows the icons to soak up the bumps as intended. I'll be leaving it off but I may throw it back on if we tow the travel trailer down the coast again.

So today I picked up my new 17 QS Tacoma. I had a TRD pro grill that I got for my black Tacoma but since I traded it that truck in I decided to put it on the QS truck. I didn't like the "gray" letters so I decided to pop them off the TRD pro grill and re-paint them a flat black, I think it matches a lot better... Well in my opinion anyway lol

I bought the material but haven't had the time to mess with it just yet. We'll see what time I have this week but I hope to have it done before the weekend.

I am 100% not a fan of pushbutton start and want to get rid of it, just not sure on the process to do so
