UPDATE - 20170129 - I got rid of those stupid rubber sticky cup holders! I picked up the OEM adjustable cup holder from the 2005-2010. With my Yeti like 20oz mug and many other coffee mugs it fits great! My 32oz Nalgene fits pretty good but leans a little towards the shifter, doesn't touch the shifter even in park and is still plenty stable. Here is the link to the one I bought, it is pretty much the same price anywhere you look. I think my local dealer wanted around $38.

Does anyone else have issues with their stupid rubber cup holders sticking to their coffee mugs? I was thinking about getting the adjustable one out of the earlier 2nd gen tacomas, but does it fit 2012-2015?

My water bottle sticks, too. I'd love to replace those rubber cup holders.

    Sticky rubber.

I have to rotate my mug as I pull up so it doesn't take the rubber with it.

    It's fucking annoying.

Awesome!!! I'm going get one then! I'll see how much the dealer charges and then see how much they are online and I'll let you guys know!

I have to wiggle and twist to get my coffee mug out. I don't know what evil person designed this pieces of crap!

Heard gentleman say he used velro tape on the bottom of the rubber cup holders and it solved the problem. I've yet to try.

Simply get in the habit of twisting your cup a smidge before you lift. I never have an issue with tight fitting cups of mine using this method.

I got an insulated mug that fits in the plastic cupho;der behind the shifter as well. I removed the front rubber ones ages ago since that is where I put the gps mount I made.
