I used an air cut-off saw, took about an hour. Not to hard.

Sweet! Wire them to a desperate switch or connect them to your existing reverse lights?

"vasinvictor" I ordered and received two pairs of the LED bulbs that you linked to on Amazon. My OEM bulbs are a push and twist design but the Amazon LEDs are a push (friction, no twist) design. By chance, have you seen an adapter?

those are the wrong ones. you need 1156 bulbs like the ones i linked. you can buy adapters though.

These are what I just installed and I love em. Cheap and bright as hell. Just need to buy a wiring harness and you're good to go. I just used a plasma cutter to cut out the hole, made it way easier.

I've never had a problem with the backup lights being dim. I believe the problem is trying to see it through a tinted window that's too dark.

They look great. I have a question: When I run my truck thru their check list on that site, it says "This part is not compatible with 2002 Toyota Tacoma".

I checked the vehicle info on the door jam. My truck was made in Oct. 2001. Evidently, that model shipped with both types of bulbs. If the bulbs that I ordered don't fit, someone on this forum will get a good deal!

Got them. Easy and direct plug in. The package included two tiny LED plugins. What do they fit? BTW, I discovered that the plug in plate looks like it partially melted....ain't got a clue but I gotta replace.
