I and others here have paid about 10$ per isolator. However that was with the pack off the truck. Mine included breaking down the pack but others have done that as well in order to get that price.

 

ugh can't seem to find the thread or post, but there is one I think @jberry813 posted about proper leaf spring maintenance, and how isolators in the long run could be the cause of more squeaking. Still trying to find that post.

 

Yeah good idea, another thing to consider is if you have Dakars, which if I remember right you do, they tend to squeak a lot normally. That's what I have heard from a couple other guys that run Dakars as well. I guess the leafs run together a lot and make the squeak.

 

Maybe isolators aren't my fix then

 

Oh yeah I know they squeak normally, but it's to the point where its pretty loud when the vehicle comes to a stop or accelerates, and it makes popping noises when reversing on any incline

 

Form what I've read, isolator result in gaps between the leafs causing dirt and debris to enter.

 

What leaf pack are you looking at if you ditch the dakars?

 

Damn maybe just putting the bushings in properly, since the people that installed them may have done it wrong will help, but I still hate the squeak of the leaves themselves.

 

Ideally the All Pro Expo leaf packs since everyone i've seen says that they don't squeak and they maintain lift with a load, but it's another 5 weeks until they're in stock

So for those that don't know, this happened about two weeks ago this happened. Got it fixed now but I need to relocate the control pack on my winch to be able to move it forward more and out of the way.

already in the process of making sure I will be able to, then we gotta plan the long drive!

 

If you come up we'll have to make some video documentary of our journeys around the state lol I wish I had the capability to make videos as awesome as Expedition Overland does on their YouTube channel!

 

These 3rd gen tacos are really growing on me, saw a really nice one today in Super White, it was a DCSB TRD Off Road and had a 3" lift with Duratracs and black wheels (not sure what kind) but it looked super clean. I'd probably only ever get rid of mine if I could get a 3rd gen that already has all the same mods that my current taco has lol and we know that won't happen unless I pay a lot more $$$

 

I like almost everything about them as well besides the front end. If I could have my front end with 3rd gen fenders and bed I probably would go for it lol. But I just don't like the after market front bumpers for them. They look like a mini Tundra. lol that's just me though, I like the grey color that try come in

 

Agreed, I really want full hoops for my truck but I don't really like any of the designs. Just doesn't look right on the 3rd gens. RCI is the only one that looks ok.
