Whats up guys I have a question about body lifts. I have a 2012 prerunner with a 3/1.5 inch suspension lift right now but im considering getting a body lift too. I wanna go 1 or 2 inches. I can get gap covers for the wheel wells but what about the bumper? Will there be a gap? If so where can I get brackets to raise it. Pics of your body lift would help a lot. Thanks.

Dont do it. Body lifts are filled with problems. Your engine, tranny all that shit is mounted to the frame. You lift the body and now you have misalignment with shifters, heater hoses, wiring, Steering column. oh and yes there will be a bumper gap.

I have a 1 inch BL and Engine mounts on my Jeep to tuck the tcase and engine. I would not do it to my Taco. Invest in a sweet suspension kit.

You can do a 1 inch BL on a Taco without incident. HomerTaco has one, as do many others. I have a .5 BL on mine. At .5, you don't need to do anything to the bumper or even the bed. I installed the Energy Suspension body mount bushings to replace my squashed stock bushings. I Installed the bushing kit with the bigger puck on top to make it a BL. It's .5" over what stock should be, but I actually got close to 1" from how it sat with the squashed stock bushings.

Yes, I have 3" lift on top of my 4" spindles to get 7" total lift. Super easy to install, maxtracs are super stout, and it wont hardly change the handling of the truck

I think the 1" BL would be negligible for any concerns of stretching hoses etc. No steering column extension required either which is nice when only 1 ".

Had a 3" BL on my old truck and the steering column extension was sketchy. Don't reccommend 3 " for sure.

And you'll have to fab up some brackets for bumper. Shouldn't be a big issue.

    Not an overbrander.
I've had the 3" Performance Accessories body lift since May. Everything works fine for me. The kit comes with the front bumper relocation bracket. I also got the rear bumper relocation brackets and the gap guards.

The steering column and are fuel hose are both extended (comes with the extensions), and I haven't experienced any problems.
