The tread on the tires that came with my truck have worn down a bit and it's time to buy some new ones. I'm interested in getting a sleeker look over the stock rims and maybe trying to raise the height of the truck a little bit with some new rims and tires. I'm new to all of this, so I am looking for some advice. I have a few questions I'm hoping you can answer for me. Or if you can tell me what to search for on here, I don't mind doing the homework myself.

I do not do any off road driving, but I do like a more rugged look.

I currently have 16" wheels. Can I go to 17"? I do not want to do any cutting or alter the truck other than the tires.

What's the largest tire size I can put on the truck without any potential problems with rubbing?

Will changing the wheel size void my warranty?

Is my best bet in buying new wheels/tires to go through a custom shop, or can I save significantly by going some other route? I will need to have the tires mounted, an alignment and have the odometer adjusted to account for larger tires, can any shop do these tasks if I go a different route to buy the tires?

Thanks for any help or insight you can give.

I have a 2015 SR5 with Steelys and was wondering the same thing. If I can put different rims and tires (17") on to replace the factory 16" ones without have to make any significant changes to the truck?
