    Just got off the phone with Service, they replaced the junction box and are now putting on a new wiring harness. Said it should be good to go today but is going to call me to confirm in a couple hours.

    It sucks when your truck doesn't do what you want it to do... that said, I think it's unfair to label this a "3rd gen" issue when you have swapped out stock bulbs for aftermarket bulbs.

    Not just aftermarket bulbs, he had a DDM HID kit. Given the unsealed connectors that hook into the factory H11 harness, did they have play and ground themselves out, did they get water or dirt in them a bridge the connection, were the canbus ballasts grounded properly, etc. Lots of room for error there...not fair to call this a 3rd gen problem at all. He's lucky he was able to slip this one past the dealership.
