I would suggest using these connectors if you can. I noticed that there is a little interference with the roof but it isn't something that I couldn't fix with bending them back a bit.

Just let me know about the wheels. I'm sure they will still be there.

I used the regular ones the first time and have been dreading pulling it all back out so that I can redo it with these. Thankfully I left enough wire on the ends to help out a bit with that.....

Ordered. Shipping from Walawalastan (or China?) so I wont be doing this project for a month or so, but these switches have been on a shelf for a year so I'm not too worried about that.

Nice. I was in a time crunch for mine, so I didn't get to look around much. But I was lucky since Radio Shack was closing around the same time I got a bunch of stuff from in there except for these. Bill totalled out to over 400.00 at regular cost, ended up paying around 12 bucks since everything was 80% or better.

Nice! I don't have any local electronics stores (and our hardware store doesn't stock much useful stuff).. it makes a lot of these projects a major PITA. We have a NAPA that stocks some basic connectors, but you should have seen me the day I needed a diode for my remote start/alarm install. I was ready to rage quit and move south.

I have moar questions! It looks like you've used some of these 1W lights for alley lights... how's the output?

Well I didn't mean quite that far south... just the bottom 20% of Canada where we have populated areas with stores.
Thanks! I'm still searching around and I see the same style lights come in different "sizes". Is it the 1W ones you have, or the bigger 3W (or something else)?

Let me find them on Amazon again. I believe that they are the 3W ones but I don't recall.

Here is one. I'll PM it to you too, kind of a crappy picture. There is another one too but it might have got lost in the TW Live cloud of info.

Thanks for the pics. I might keep looking for something a little brighter. Since my last post I have been struggling with mounting ideas too... I might try some of those small single row 12W led "bars" some people have used as backup lights. They should be easy to mount and adjust.

I had a tough time finding a way to mount these also. But found some nice threaded adapters that worked well for them. I just welded the adapters into some square tube and those onto the rack.

Do you happen to have more information on your solar panel setup?

For the one that is on the truck or the trailer? What are you looking for specifically? The truck will be getting an upgrade soon, but the panels are a set of the Harbor Freight ones (the 3 pack) and their charge controller. Rewired them all into a single red/black and ran that to the controller and then to the 2nd battery.

On your truck, I want to do a dual battery with panels this summer.

Gotcha. They have been good to me and have saved me several times before I got the secondary battery. Killed the battery camping and rolled the truck into the sun and it started a little bit later.
