    Dang that sucks. Seems like pure/cool white would be more in demand/popular and that'll make Switch-Pro at least give options to consumers.

    I was a Tacoma guy, family got bigger, converted to a 4Runner.
    I just ordered the Baja Rack Util Spy rack and will be ordering the 8100 in a few days. Been nice reading all your info.

    yep, amber or red! Really, their next-gen keypad coul have color-selectable LED backlighting. Color could be chosen in the app. Would add $ to unit cost - but no technical reason that couldn't happen.

    I went to AutoAnything and signed up for their 20% off coupon. I was a little disappointed to find out it doesn't apply to the SP8100, even though it isn't listed on their exceptions list.

    @XPOTRPR - Have you been able to test fit a concealed version yet?

    I may just wait and see if they end up doing the background in something other than green. I saw the blue one in the thread, but the website only says green back-lighting. I would love blue or cool white. But I also want to knock out my lighting this month.

    Not to slow your purchase, but I just got an email from Switch Pro saying they will have red and blue led backlights now. You just have to specify which you want.
    Only problem is that you probably have to purchase those through SP, vs AA with the discount

    Autoanything no longer discounts Switchpros as they were violating Switchpros MAP policy, and SP made them stop.

    As far as lighting colors, I know for sure they will be doing the blue to match our trucks. I know this because I have one. You can order directly from them, and it will be available in both versions.

    Interesting. That makes sense, but I am surprised AA hasn't updated their list. I have no problem ordering from SP direct, but I would prefer to find a coupon or wait for a sale. *hint hint if anyone knows anything* :D
