It will be a pretty small change but even that is almost a 4% gain for no cost to you. I get 17 so I'm all :luvya: anyways

Hey for everyone that has steel skids I have a few questions:
What kind of oil drain valve do you run?
How many coats of primer and top coat did you put on?
I have a satin black powder coated front bumper. Any recommendations on paint that'll last and might match up?

Sitting in the truck with it running. Got the phone plugged in to charge along with several other "essential" devices. Tranformer blew and no power probably until this morning sometime. Beer in the mini fridge is starting to get warm, so got to make sure I consume those before that happens!

    Stock drain plug.
    KBS-Coatings.com 3 step Klean-Blast-Seal
KBS Rust Seal comes out Satin but fades to Flat in sunlight (Not UV proof). You can put any other (UV proof) Top Coat on it. Just remember they are skids and will be mostly underneath out of sunlight, unless you 3rd gen it..

Also doing a rear bumper and sliders. Paint question was more for the bumper and sliders, drain plug was about the skids. I plan on using the skids and sliders to their fullest... I learned from @JimboAnz :boink:

Oil is easy enough to drain with a ratchet and socket on the stock plug, with skids on. I have KBS-Coatings, no top coat, on by sliders and rear bumper as well. Stands up nicely to rocks, easy to touch up.

Send the radio with him anyway. If he doesn't want to use it I will. That way I can communicate what everyone else if I don't go on some of the harder trails.
