Well I had driven it on that pass before tent, slider, rear bumper. Then again I have driven it everywhere this summer and didn't notice too much of a difference with elevation change. I'm gonna trust you guys. I'm not gonna waste the time and money on it with little, if any, change.

I've done a mod or two
There's an equation for elevational power loss if your curious. That and your tent are the largest contributing power loss factors at high speed. Or you could just drive it like I do and rev the shit out of it, 4500rpm pulls before switching gears. All these engine are happy to rev. I've pulled mtn passes in 3rd gear at 4000rpm for miles, engine just sings along.

Haha. That's actually 9mm hollow point on top and 10mm hollow point on the bottom. I wouldn't have been so precise with buckshot, lol.

Fuck no... north east cancer frame. I'd only buy from climates like my own, where rusted out frames is a cute story we read about online but will likely never experience

Just checked my recalls they can fix my trailer harness. Which is awesome because when the PO had it somebody slashed the harness. I'll get to that eventually since I have no need for it yet

Ya'll have me freaking out about my LBJ's. What is the consensus on when to change them? Any certain mileage or anything?

Mine are only at 57K, but they are 15 years old.

Check for play, or post a pic of what they look like. Mine weren't too bad but I was replacing UCA's so I was half way in there

No play. I can't get a pic of the actual ball joint boot because there is a that black rubber piece that surrounds it. Is that rubber piece not standard equipment?

Also, when I was looking at that, I noticed a little bit of grease between the first two CV boot fins nearest the tire. I assume that's how it starts.

That's normal. As long as grease isn't coming from the ball joint you should be good.

That seems to be a CV fin rubbing issue not a ball joint one
