I have A 96 Tacoma with the ugly mirrored finish on my rear windows, and would like to swap out the newer black tinted quarter windows for my mirrored finish ones.

I purchased a set without the latches at a junkyard and much to my dismay found out that they moved the location for the mounting hole for the latch due to a new latch design. Has anyone adapted the new latch to these older trucks? The 98 and up latches mount behind the interior plastic where the 95-97 latches mount to the cab through the plastic.

Has anyone performed this swap before?
