Hello! This my first post and have been lurking the past couple weeks as I just picked up a 2000 Tacoma SR5 v6 ext cab.

I just installed this "2 inch Lift Kit"

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IYYJ7NU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

When I went to reinstall the shocks, I could not get the lower shock bolt to go in from the regular direction from inside - out. So now I have the washer and nut on the inside by the cv boot... The CV boot is what was in the way from getting the bolt lined up and back in. Is this going to cause me any issues?

Just starting to play around with it. I want it be off road capable, but nothing extreme. So just lifted enough to make it level, and get some more aggressive tires. I am thinking Cooper ST Maxx. If anyone has comments on those tires? I commute with the truck take it fishing/off roading(mild for now...)

    Thanks for any/all help!

Were you able to get proper torque on the nut in that position? What I had to do to put the bolt in the correct way was to remove the sway bar link and place a 1/4'' 12'' socket extension through the swaybar attachment hole on the LCA. I could then hammer on the extension, with the extension on the head of the bolt and push the bolt through. In summary, I don't think there is anything wrong with installing it the other way, I just think it would be hard to get a torque wrench on the nut to tighten. The red line is where I put the extension, using the eye hole on the LCA actually helped support and guide the extension and it worked pretty well. I also had a bottle jack on the UCA making everything line up nice.

As long as you're able to tighten it to the correct amount, you'll be fine.

    Ok, thanks guys!

I had a good angle with a wrench to be able to torque down on the bolt. I appreciate the quick responses!!
