Hey guys and gals anyone in the Dallas/Texoma area who knows how to replace 2016 bumper end caps? I have the SR5 chrome caps and want to replace them with the black ones. I would gladly pay for your services.

That's great and all..but you see I work so I can pay people to do work for me..cuz I don't have the patience to do it myself. I don't mind helping by putting a few bucks in someone's pockets. It's almost like cutting my grass..yeah I can do it but I would rather pay someone else to do it while I still can.

Plate bumper.... get one in...... wait for it...... black powder coat.

That way when some smuck hits your new bumper it won't even cause a scratch! Just sayin...

He's in Texas... they don't have grass just pebbles for a front yard just rake is all that's needed.

Plate Bumper bro and thank me later, after someone backs into you at the mall.

I appreciate y'all recommending this bumper plate thing. Are Tacomas a magnet for people backing in to them where you need a bumper like that? If I did a rear bumper like that then my OCD is gonna make me want to do a front bumper the same style and I'm not into the Tank look..besides it's a 2wd and I don't wanna be called a 4x4 wanna be. I know how you 4x4 testosterone filled real men give us 2 wheel drive chumps crap about not having a pair of "tires" spinning. Lol

The answers here kill me. You ask a simple question and it's "you should just buy a new rear bumper" and other crap responses that aren't helping you.

If I was close I would do it for you, since I'm not and I'm replying I'm going to try and direct you to get some help. Any local body shop should be able to do it for you, if you have anyone you trust. If your looking for someone here local near you, try the regional forums. https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/texas.46/

Look around here and post something. Maybe someone can help you out. I changed mine and the black looks great. Good luck!

Not picking on anyone . sheesh sensitive aren't we?

Ok the reason for suggesting a plate bumper.....

It will be the last time you have to mess with it.... once you see how cheap POS plastic crap the OEM rear bumper is you can thank me later for the suggestion. It only takes a light tap - think someone parking behind you and tapping the OEM bumper, knocking out of place... broken tabs the whole thing has to be removed fixed and reassembled. Been there... got a plate bumper.

Quit giving me a hard time for suggesting a viable solution.. WTF? Specially since I have already experienced this very thing .... and .... bought a plate bumper.
