That's the hope anyway. It's a cheap rebrand of the 'Nanda - NRX-12' so those stock parts will be like upgrade parts. Lol.

Sorry. It's going to be a parts bin dive for mine. I've got an $8 21t motor, a Traxxas xl-5 ESC I scored for about $10, a servo pulled from my Honcho, and a gyro Rx that came with my RadioLink Tx. All in would be less than $100 for me not counting batteries.

Here it is. These wheels did not come with the kit, though. This is the kitted body and the wheel wells are off a little bit. There's really no adjustment either. The lower arms could be flipped over but that'd make the wheelbase longer.

Got mine today too. I have not had time to really look at it, but plan to do so tomorrow. Initial thoughts?

I think it'll be fun if you have the space for it. A garage is not big enough. I ran it on the road in front of my house but the road is too rough. I'm out in the woods and we have the old tar and pea gravel, not pavement. I've got several parking lots to run it in nearby and will give it a go.

It's more of a carpet racer from what I read. The spur gear is open through the lower chassis plate and everything mechanical is exposed. So it's going to pick up all the dirt and such very easy. I put in a 21 turn motor and I think it'd do fine with even lower down around 17t. The pumpkin gears off the ends of the center shaft are plastic and the diff cups for all the dog bones are too.

I logged on tonight wanting to see if there were any RC guru's on the forum! I myself have been into RC since my childhood, I both wheel and fly and tend to stick with doing customized builds. I started building portable charge stations a few years back and one thing I was excited about with my new Tacoma is the 400/150W plug in the bed.

Anyone on here might would be interested in a charge station? I can build them fairly cost efficient for what they are.

I ran a hot wire to the bed of my truck near the tailgate and it feeds my camper shell light and I clamp the alligator clips of my 12v charger on it. It keeps the lipos in the back and away from the cab and engine bay while charging.

What sort of charge station are you building?

I got into it last year. Always wanted one when I was a kid but parents couldn't afford it. Felt kind of silly buying buying them in my 30s but my co-workers have them and to be honest most guys at the clay track are older then me!

In my Tundra I ran some banana plugs direct from the battery to the lower panel under my steering wheel and could plug my Powerlab 6 directly in and charge on the go. It was a nice setup for what it being so simple but I never did like charging lipo's in the cab of my truck. I will get some photos post up of some charge stations I have built shortly.

Yeah hobby grade RC is not something that most children can get into unless they have parents that foot the bill...As a kid I surely did not have the money to afford any of the RC I had but my dad was big into it for a few years and built/maintained all my stuff for me. I had a brushed Traxxas Rustler, Great Planes Stinger SS V-Hull and my monster truck I cannot for the life of me think of what it was. When my dad got out I ran them until I didn't have spare parts to fix em, then they got put in a box for years. In 2007 I bought my first RC on my own a T-Maxx 3.3 and the insanity has only increase since then. haha

This is my personal charging station, I built this back around 2011 and it still is running strong today. The dual power supply setup will crank out 1100 watts and 46amps at 25v which is more than enough to max out the PL6 I use.

This is a build I did for my buddy, it was done as a cheap build as he is kind of a cheap a** and doesn't like spending money. So I sourced out the case used and used a lot of spare parts I had laying around to help keep the cost down for him. I think it still turned out nice, other than the fact he wouldn't let me jazz up his deck for him like I did mine. I do actually like the case I used on his better, it was a much cheaper alternative than my Pelican Case and has more storage room to boot!

There are con's to using this case though...A) I had to flush mount the deck, which I wasn't keen of. I like how on the pelican case you can recess it a bit. B) Since I couldn't recess the deck the charger would not allow the lid to close without dropping it down further into the deck. This presented a problem as the chargers are not "secured" but more of pressure fitted in by adding some velcro to the sides allowing for a snug fit. Due to this issue I had to notch out the deck for the expansion connectors on the side of the charger and add some small pieces of wood for it to sit on. C) The plastic seems to be of cheaper quality than the pelicans and don't take well to routing with a dremel. You may notice the out of place plastic where the power plugs in, this was due to the dremel hitting a soft spot in the plastic and taking off where ever it wanted before I could pull it away.

Don't sweat the age thing. I bought my first real radio control buggy in 1985 (Koyosho Ultma) at 23. I'm now in my 50's and still enjoy the hobby. I still have a 1/8 buggy, 1/10 stadium truck and buggy. I tend to fly more these days though, four planes, four choppers and a quad.

Those charge stations are way more than I need. They look good though and give me an idea with the Pelican box I have.

I can fit all my lipos in a 30cal ammo box. I can only drive one at a time so they're all set up to run a similar battery. 1:10s get a 2200mAh, minis get 1500, and the micros get a sub 500mAh. I've got some 3s of the same physical size as the above 2s, but less mAh. The batteries my kids get are the NiMH that came with their RCs until those die. I don't trust them to charge lipo yet.
