    Hey Hey,

With fall clean up quickly approaching and the sun going down earlier and earlier, I am finding my stock headlights on my John Deere GT245 tractor are absolute crap.

Has anyone mounted an LED bar to their tractor? Any foreseeable problems? would this wiring work the same as a truck?

My father in law has a couple Chinese 27 watt led's on his New Holland tractor. We wired them into his running lights, so they don't come on unless the headlights are on. We put them on a few months ago so I don't think he's use them very much, but he hasn't had any issues yet.

If your tractor is 12vdc it should work fine.

This. As long as it's 12vdc you can wire it up just like your truck.

lol, I used to mow my grandmothers lawn with one of those.

thanks for the help, guys. I think I'm going to go with a pair of pods floods or wide cornering. Dont know which is the best light pattern.

Wonder how long I can run these off the battery with the engine off. any way to calculate this?

Just for instance i run this on my lawn mower, theres a red and black wire that runs off of it and i wired it right into the battery. If its your tractor battery you are 100% fine. LED takes like no power. It takes about an amp or 2 draw.

I'm doing exactly this on mine. going to build a winch/plow setup for it, and put a light bar on top of the assembly. the headlights allow me to drive home from the neighbors house, but aren't bright enough to actually do any work with.

Thanks Chad! got her over the summer and did a partial restoration. not bad for a 40 year old tractor.
