Now that friendly gyms let you go 6strong the lower CP thing isn't as useful. At least IMO you can just battle through the entire gym and get ~1500pp vs getting ~500pp by knocking off the lowest one and running away

 

It still works, i trained a gym that had a 1100 jolteon and. 2k flareon. Used a 850 graveler and 900 golduck and got 1300 pp. there were other mons after the flareon but I didn't think it was worth it. The ratios aren't the same as before but the lower the cp your mon is the better

 

So now that this isn't the FOTM anymore, is it still fun to play?

 

It lasted about 6 but is dying down, needs a good update

Buddies at 4x their rate?! Perfect. I just switched to charmander and need 56 candies. I should only have to walk 42km instead of 168. I can do that in 6 days

Lets see, pidgeys & weedles just got real enticing: 6 candies on the catch, 2 on the trade. When you evolve they require 12 but I always have 1 left after, then trade the evolved & get another 2 back. It's damn near perpetual motion!

 

Lol Are you saving them for a mass evolve? I have about 50 evolves ready for a lucky egg+mass evolve. Gonna wait til I have 65. 1k xp each evolve

 

Not sure if you saw my prior post back around the last update but they shortened the evolution animation and you can get around 80ish pokies now instead of 65ish...

 

no but hell yea! They should give you the option to just select all the pokemon you want to evolve then bam done
