I'm pretty new here, so take my advice with a pinch of salt over the shoulder. I recently bought a 2000 Tacoma from a friend, some what sight unseen. Once we met up to make the deal we couldn't get it started. It had been sitting in a field for several years. After some head scratching and replacing the battery we figured it was the fuel pump. We disconnected the fuel line leading up to the engine and nothing was coming out when we cranked it. We dropped the tank, replaced the the pump, and presto, fuel was flowing and the engine started. This might or might not be your issue. My suggestion is to disconnect the fuel line (banjo bolt if I'm using that terminology correctly) at the engine and crank it. If fuel is flowing you know that's not your issue. Fuel filter could be your next snag, but I'm sure there are a ton of posts on here about how to address that.

Check for spark and fuel first. Check ALL your electrical grounds...

Back again after running some troubleshooting.

Put my ear to gas tank and had friend turn key, can't hear the pump.

Checked EFI in under hood fuse box and Open relay under dash. Swapped them and both would make clicking sound when key was in on position.

Also followed JodyinTX and disconnected fuel line to engine and cranked, no fuel leak.

Then tested fuel pump power n ground wires with multimeter and am getting 12 volts.

Am I lead to believe it's the fuel pump itself? Shou
