Alison didn't just buy me my Taco August 8, 2005, she supported my habit all the way through to just a few weeks ago. She thought TacomaWorld was pretty cool and always encouraged me to be involved and have fun. I've certainly accomplished that.

She met quite a few of you, and was amazed at how times changed. When I first got into off-roading in the late 1800's :D, there were a lot of... shall we say undesirable types that we didn't always mesh with. What I mean by that is loud, drinking and driving type guys. She wasn't a fan and stayed back most of the time. She oly made it to two of my races at Slades.

With TW, she didn't meet anyone she didn't like, and she was always treated with respect. If I mentioned a mod day, she was always for it. Off to the mountains???? GO! She encouraged me all the time.

As I mentioned to Adam @m.reed.1 , there will be a memorial service at Emanuel Episcopal church in Kempsville Nov 5. I'm not sure what time, but probably late AM. Alison was never an early riser if she didn't have to!

SO, with that, I'd like to announce a Mod Day. No wrenched needed. We are going to Mod some hearts! If you have the time, I know it would warm the hearts of my daughters, sister in laws, Alison, and especially me, if we could make a nice row of Tacoma's parked next to each other at the service. Food and beverages immediately after.

John, I'm so sorry for your loss. No other words come to mind. If I'm not shipped out before the memorial service, I'd be happy and honored to be part of the Tacoma line-up.
Although I haven't been a very active member of the forum, I can tell you have a very special place here and hope to see you around here for many years to come. Take care of yourself and please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

New guy here. In VAB...anybody else ride dirt? I'm looking for some other folks to ride with. I prefer the woods or mountains, but could be talked into a track day. KTM 450 and 990 in the stable...

    Hi John,

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting you and your daughter at the Steven's Toyota event in Harrisonburg, VA, where you "left rounds under and on the table". We're both so sorry for your loss, and send our condolences to you and your family. We're in Oceanside, CA and if there is anything we can do please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you so much! You had the extremely cool pop up type camper in the bed right? If so, I remember you well. My daughter Kyle is with me now as we head across from AZ to VA, and then we are going to roam our way back to AZ. You never know, I may find my way to Oceanside on the way!!!
