That would be sweet if you could mention it and let me know, I'm very curious.
I have a buddy who used to work for Lewiston FD and now is up in Spokane Valley but every WDFW guy he ran into LOVED their job and wouldn't trade it for the world.

Just seems where things are pointing us toward.
Nice homes with a little bit of land is more affordable than say in NID and more so than in WA from what I've been finding lately.
1-5 acres is all we need/want

I'm still open to NID area, but I've also heard the job market is better in Boise

Neighbor is working midnight shift and his work truck is a Ford f150 (every job has its issues). I am on 10 acres about 12 miles north of top end of Spokane and paid $280k for 3000 ft house with 3 stall barn almost 3 years ago. I think housing is a little cheaper in ID but there are higher taxes.

Go work with them a lot and volunteer with them as much as possible so you can get to know them well. I am on the same route but still Active Army. The main office is in Boise and if you work with a particular office then they will have some pull as to try and get you to work there. If not then you will be going anywhere in Idaho that they wanna send you! I went and talked to one of the main guys at the Lewiston department that has been doing it for 20+ years

Hey all :) long time no talk. I'm just going to cut to the chase.... I FUCKING hate my headlights and I need an upgrade from what I thought was an upgrade . I got clear lenses W/Sylvania bulbs and I've been ok with them, but lately they have just been sucking at night. The bulb output is alright, but the cheap headlights I got just have shitty coverage. I'm ready to upgrade. My price range is maxed out around $300. Ok go.

That's ultimately what I'm leaning toward. It's becoming more and more difficult to land something and even get in contact with these departments while abroad in Japan. Every person that I've heard who works for Fish and Game absolutely loves it

You could get basic HID kit, no projectors, and put that in place of stock bulbs. I did projectors on my last car, and just the HID bulbs on wife's last car. Just HIDs helped lights a lot, and nobody flashed me in that one. You can find HID kit for probably about 150ish

Haha. It's true. The majority of the time I make my boyfriend drive because I can't see.

If you like BBQ big daddys in Meridian (Cherry & Linder) has bomb food. Unfortunately their wings are only sold as an appetizer, but they are amazing.

Have you tried looking up G4S? They normally have some sweet private security gigs and are great for networking. I worked a ton with the Wildlife guys, border patrol, park service/ranger and geologists doing security stuff for them down by the border. They may have some cool details out there. Couldn't say for certain but Marine and CJ makes you over qualified which is what they like.

G4S provides security for Amazon data centers in NE OR. They have an office in Kennewick, and most of the people I've talked to have said the pay isn't anything special, and most of them seem like they are there to make ends meet

No I haven't looked into G4S. I will though. As my EAS grows closer the thought of getting my career job is slowly dwindling as the Corps doesn't give much spare time for civilian job searching, so just GETTING a job upon exiting the military is my goal
