Rear 5100's housing is 3/8" larger OD that OEM yellows....not sure if housing is thicker w/same internals..or ? These are stock length, no lift units.

I had a better ride and handling after taking off the Bilstein 4600 stock and putting on the 5100 set at 0 with 884 coils. The coils give it the better ride. I reason I know is I did mine at 750miles on my new truck.

Before w/ Bilstein 5100's set to 0", Eibach Coils; 1.5" AAL in back

After w/ Billies set to .85"; Dakar's in rear - Rides incredibly smooth now, much better! Love it

Did you retain the stock UCA's with this set up?

Thanks, ya the cap is great. I camp a lot so need the weather protection for gear. Here's a few better pics with the new suspension set up, from a desert trip last weekend.

I like this look and would like to do the same to my truck but I don't want to hurt my MPGS. Have you noticed any reduction in gas mileage?

I have bilstein 5100s set at 1.75. The ride is still very good. The only noticeable differences are from the 265/75r16 BFG ko2 E rated tires. The steering feels heavier and the MPGs went down.

I noticed a slight drop in MPG. The tires seemed to drop the MPG more than the lift, but I'm still averaging 16-17 MPG around town. No complaints or regrets.

Did you have the TSB done on your truck or is this just with the AAL? I wanna get the same lift and really like how your truck looks.

No TSB. Just stock 4 leaf pack with an AAL. And thank you.

I'd have Dakars on the rear right now if FedEx didn't lose them last week.

I'm guessing a FedEx driver in CO has a Tacoma with a new leaf pack.

    @JadedTaco thats a bummer.

I pulled the trigger and got the 5100s front and rear with the eibachs 1.6 and just the toytec AAL for now. Gonna set billies to .85 and put the 1/4 spacer on driver front side. And install the LR UCAs I have. I'll post pics when I get this all done.

Did you consider the newer 2.5 Eibachs? With those the 0 setting is the same as the .85 on the 1.6's.

    Nope. Dang haha.

Benefit would be less preload on the coil right? 2.5 eibach is what toytec is selling? I read some guys are not getting the 2.5 inch lift in front that they expected tho from this coil

Honestly have been reading these forums non stop about what to do and just needed to buy something already before I lose my mind haha

    Correct.

The 2.5 wasn't available when I purchased my lift, but I have no complaints about my 1.6 set at .85.

I may change my mind if I ever move it to 1.75.

EDIT: Sorry. Forgot to mention congrats on the new suspension!

Hey @mreen428 did you ever post any pics after the .85" and UCA install? Curious to see how it turned out. I have all the fun parts sitting on my workbench and I'm flipping the clip between .85 and 1.75...no AAL, just the TSB leafs.

I don't think the stock OR shocks are 4600/HDs though. They're both yellow, but they are not the same shocks.
