Yeah it's funny how different dealers say different things. I live in western Washington and I've called around and NONE of the dealers around here have them besides the Toyota in Bellevue (they had 5 before I picked mine up today).

All of the dealers I've called say they are back ordered and have no estimate on when they will be back in stock.

There's a part number just for the insert, and then there's part numbers for the entire assembly that come color coded

Think I'm going to Plasti-Dip mine today! Want it to be more of a Matte Black. Plus I figure the Dip will add an extra layer or protection from nicks/chips/road rash. Can always peel it off if I don't like the way it comes out.

Might pop the letters out and Dip them White. If it's too bright I may go with a Dark Gray for the letters.

Yesterday I dipped the grille Matte Black, and today I did the "TOYOTA" letter in a Dark Gray.

Came out really nice. I'll give it a couple days to cure and then I'll give it several coats of an aftercare spray made for Plasti dip. Got it from dipyourcar, it's suppose to make it smoother and gives it an extra layer of protection.

Before, then Matte Black, Gray Letters, and aftercare spray (haven't used it yet)

Thanks, I prefer that matte black look. So I guess mine is different from the others, yet still the same! LOL. I'll let it cure a couple days then try out that aftercare spray. Probably go with three or four coats first time around.

I have my new pro grill but haven't had a chance to put it on yet .. i guess its very easy to swap them out. I have heard 2 different stories on how to remove the factory grill
    1. Remove 2 screws in top brackets, remove 2 plastic push pin retainers on top then grab grill at bottom and pull loose
    2. Remove 2 screws in top brackets, remove 2 plastic push pin retainers on top, remove 4 plastic push pin retainers at bottom and pull grill loose
Which is it? Is there 4 plastic push pin retainers at bottom holding grill ?

Use option #2, less chance of breaking something. There are 4 plastic push pins on the bottom of the grill, they are easily accessible from the top.
The grill will come out very easy .

On a second note! A love my TRD Pri grille! Just got my truck this past Sunday and I drove it home and put it in the garage and installed the grille. Painted the letters a flat black.. I think it matches my QS tan color better than the silver letters

Thanks, I'd like to see those bottom pins. Don't have my truck yet, but I'd like to know before I change mine out.

I've heard some guys say there's nothing on the bottom, and others say there are four pins on the bottom.

Confusing? I wouldn't think there would be a difference between models? Just wondering if say the Sport and the Off Road are different. One with and one without bottom pins.

There are definitely pins at the bottom, I was one of the first to say it but it may have been a different thread, it seemed everyone wanted to contradict me then and say there weren't any on the bottom, I am glad to see someone else saying there are.
Here are some pictures, maybe I can see them better because my truck is white, those with black or gray these may blend in. Look for the white spots in my photos, there are 4 total, the black clips are in these. The clips are the same as the two on top of the grillIMG_2237.jpg IMG_2236.jpg IMG_2235.jpg IMG_2234.jpg
