Wheel Spacers

How do you like your wheel spacers? I'm looking to get some (maybe 1" or so) but am afraid they will put extra stress on the studs and other parts I'm not familiar with, yet. Is this a valid concern?

 

Some will say yes, but it's really not. Sooooo many people on here run them and wheel hard with them and have no issues. Just buy a reputable brand, and be sure to re-torque them every so often.

 

Samzies. I have Spidertrax 1.25" (which most have) and no issues after a year.

I ordered a 1" set from ECGS, should arrive Monday.

 

How did they turn out?

They turned out to be lug centric instead of hub centric so I ended up ordering a set of Bora 1" hub centric spacers which have been on for 7,000 miles now and have been great.

I went back and emailed ECGS about their website description not being fully accurate but I hadn't seen any text changes to identify hub va lug centric for possible purchasers.

 

If anyone needs a set of Trailgear lug centric spacers and acorn lugs...I have two sets (4 wheels worth) of stuff I can make a sweet deal on.

 

Not to keep but I actually emailed Curtis at ECGS on June 16th to clarify I was selecting the right spacer on their web store and he replied saying they were Hub Centric - the exact ones from the trail gear website.

I probably should of followed up harder about the wrong spacer design but I went against my own instinct to buy a reputable brand in order to save a few bucks. I guess I needed a refresher on "you get what you pay for."
