It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
And @Truggin 's brother. Although he says that he will likely either be riding along with me, or bringing his side-by-side ATV, as he needs tires on his Taco.

As he is coming from South Charleston, WV it's almost 4 hours for him. Do we have a plan on when and where to assemble?

I should be able to make it. Pickup the truck today from the bodyshop, just need to get the bumper on when it shows up and install the lift/align.

I am still figuring out a meet location. Im sure there will be some mini meets before we all go down to the main meet area, and then start the trail.

Yeah man i'll let you know. I was going to get started this weekend but my girlfriends family is in town so I probably won't be able to do much until the week/weekend after.

I got the news from the shop that tried to align it after the accident that the lower control arm bolts are frozen in place. So that should be fun! They got the toe sorted, the only thing out is the caster right now. I'll get them out of there and put in some new hardware before sending it off the the alignment shop.

Should be pretty straightforward. Got Light racing UCA's to put on, Toytec front coilovers already assembled, and OME dakars for the rear with the bilstein shocks. Should probaby do those rear brake lines too but I haven't made it out to meet @Base Camp yet.

The LCA bolts are a bitch! Might need to sawzall/burn them out! And then they are over $100 to replace from Toyota! You should look into the welded cam tabs too.

by the way Steve, can you weld?

Yeah i'm not looking forward to that part. But I've dealt with my fair share of frozen bolts working on cars. I've got plenty of torches and air hammers that should do the trick.

Yeah I weld. I have a TIG & MIG welder at the shop. Been meaning to buy a nice inverter TIG machine for myself but I'm too cheap.

I saw those weld on before. Didn't think I'd need them. From the looks of it I could cut a new set of those out on the waterjet. But for $90ish bucks I don't think it's worth all the time measuring and hoping I got it right. I guess if I'm in there replacing shit it would be an "opportunistic upgrade." (I keep repeating that term to myself to justify all these things.)

Toytec sells the SPC Cam bolt kit for a less than $100. Not sure if that gets you more adjustment range than stock.

On the subject of opportunistic upgrades... If I'm cracking open the brake system I guess I might as well replace the front lines too. Damn you!

If you can do side work, you will have lots of business! A few people need some things welded soon. Cough* me, @Lots2Learn58 @Coot83

Well maybe if I can make a case for it it'll be easier to fund a welder purchase. Though I'd probably want a MIG for most of what I'd be doing on Taco's.

Noone has ever showed up, just keep making excuses and postponing.

Except 1 person. He has scheduled a firm date to get all his work done by me.
