I've been living in a house in Clearwater for a few years, but this coming spring I want to downsize (for a single dude I have way too much stuff) and switch up my scenery for awhile. As such I'm looking into moving into an apartment and renting out the house I own.

My top three locations are DTSP, WBD over by Tampa International, or South Tampa. I'm thinking either a larger studio or a one bedroom, and I'm trying to keep it under $1800/month for rent (renting out my house should cover most if not all of it).

About me: I'm a late 20's, single male, working professional. In other words, your typical post-college millennial. The beach/salt life doesn't appeal to me, and I've given up on living somewhere out of the city and still having a manageable commute, so I'd rather be close to night life, gyms, etc.

    Any thoughts?

Carrollwood is another nice area to look into.

Thanks for the input. I think Carrollwood might be too far from where I work for me to be willing to suck up the drive.
