It's probably only a 2 hour job, all bolt on, but you are more than welcome.

    Solution:
    -199mm S13WE brake calipers from 99 to 03 Tundra with 12.5” rotors.
    -Larger rotors, larger pistons.

    Required materials:
-S13WE brake calipers and corresponding rotors. I ordered “2001 Toyota Tundra v8 4x4” parts at the auto parts store.
    -Brake pads.
-16” wheels, with proper backspacing. (Possibly 4” backspacing, I used 4.5” with ample room left)
    -Brake fluid.

    Required tools:
    -Drill and bits.
-14mm and 17mm sockets, 10mm wrench, lug nut wrench.
    -Jack and jack-stands.

    Modifications required:
-Bending the dust cover / disk shield.
-Drilling out the end of the banjo bolt approx 1/8”-1/4” deep.

    Cost Total - $305.61:
    -S13WE calipers $90 from eBay.
    -Rotors from AutoZone $165 w/tax.
-Performance Friction brake pads (Same as TRD brake pad) w/Lifetime warranty at AutoZone $44.16 w/tax.
    -Dot 3/ Dot 4 brake fluid $6.45 w/tax at Pep-Boys.

Hey guys, I have about 3 weeks left on my pads till they'll need to be replaced and I still have my stock wheels. Do you think I could get the tundra brakes to fit the stock wheels? I believe I have the 6 lug hubs, I drive a 2002 Taco PreRunner 2WD Crew Cab.

Just wondering cause I'd really like to do this mod, but I'd really like to not have to get new wheels to do it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Awesome thank you for the response. I'm going to my shop tomorrow and I'll pull the wheel and measure the back space on them.

I have one other question...I have been looking online trying to find a good price on some calipers, but the site mentioned previously on this thread no longer carries the tundra calipers, I guess I could try the stealership, but with that I fear they will want a core deposit. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew of another site where I could get some I would be greatly appreciative.

So I upgraded to Tundra brakes...but took a little too much off of the banjo bolts...I've looked at online stores, TTORA, and here, and can't seem to find a good place to buy new bolts. I apologize if I overlooked some other thread, but can anyone point me in the right direction.

Also, would upgrading the lines themselves be an easier fix then drilling out the ends of another set of banjo bolts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Tundra's have a slightly different setup for their brake lines?

That looks mighty tempting. I imagine those are using the same Tundra calipers everyone is mentioning. Anyone know if when they say 16 inch wheels if it will work with the original 16 inchers?

What kind of feedback do you have on the brake upgrade? I bought a 02 Tacoma in Sept and plan to upgrade the brakes asap. What advise can you share also- I have the 16 in rims, 3.4L, 4wd, 4 dr, SR5, TRD?

I got the 13WL 231mm calipers 12.5" rotors and 5.3" brake pads plus Wheeler's steel braided brake lines, when I did my Tundra upgrade off of an 06 Tundra 4x4 crew cab limited automatic w/ the 4.7 V8. And they cleared my Method 16x8 rims w/ 4.5" of BS. Everything went right on and cleared. Didn't have to grind anything off of the caliper either. I was lucky to find all Toyota OEM parts. The brake lines went right on too. Didn't have to mess with the banjo bolt either. I did have to bend back the dust shield so it didn't rub on the rotor and I also had to cut part of the top & bottom of the dust shield where the larger caliper mounted.

Did you buy the parts from a salvage yard? or ebay? I like the idea of using Toyota parts when possible. Amazon has a good kit for a reasonable price, but I don't know anything about Callahan Brake Parts.

I got my calipers from a pick a part and they were in great shape. I wish I had done it sooner.
