Ingine knock

Hey I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma TRD v6 4.0 I just recently got back from a long hunting trip and on the way home coming through town I hit a red light noticing a wicked clattering coming from the motor. So I pulled over and popped the hood the noise is coming from the driver side top end, sounds like a lifter. This Is not a mellow ticking noise it's a very ruff LOUD clattering noise and it goes away when I get over 30 miles an hour or when I gain speed and let off it will stop as I'm coasting then it will start again. It also don't do it when I start it cold. Any thoughts? Have searched every where and only found one guy with the exact problem and his problem was a lifter was out of its track. But i pulled the valve cover off and see no problem so far.

Some engine accessory perhaps? There is the electric valve on the driverside of the intake manifold. Maybe it?

 

What is an Ingine? Seems to be a question everybody would like to know.

 

Uh, The 4.0 Liter 1GR-FE Engine doesn't have valve lifters.

You may have a guide or chain issue.
