Getting in somewhat of a routine with dinner. I have a lot of things saved on Pinterest, challenging myself to make something new for 15 days of November. (Half the month, won't be consecutive days, just half the month.)

Anyone else want to join in?

Split pea and ham soup. It's so thick there's no drippage.

    Perfecto.

    Nah, it's thin skirt steak.

The same cut used for carne asada. In my hood, known as diezmillo, or arrachera in Spanish.

    Used this recipe...

I was going to make some homemade tortillas this morning but Im not going to have the time...typically takes around 1hr and 30 minutes or so start to finish to get a batch done. This includes a 50 minute rest time for the dough. oh well maybe later tonight.

Carrot cake counts as a vegetable, right? Especially if it's from scratch?
