For 2016+: It's really simple. Tap into the wire from connector 1D slot 19, which is (+) for your added lamps/lights.
It just showing everything that's in that circuit.
Unlike models prior to '16, it's the positive side which gets "dimmed to off" and "off'd" if left ON.
There is a need for a switch tie in on the ground side. I also suggest a dpdt (ON-OFF-ON)

Well I tried to run these is a series circuit today without the switch and no fuse from the battery. The first one worked and then I added the second and nothing happened. I have no idea what's going on. Any suggestions?

Have you figured it out yet? I tried some 2 white led strips under the dash and a small blue one in the dark hole that is a cubby on the console. Everything worked great until the 3rd strip. I was running it all on it's own circuit. I gave up trying to figure it out and decided it was something within the led's. I gave up and just got the toyota puddle lights. kit works great, has 4 puddle lights the dim and work with the dome light and key fab, plus 2 under dash lights that will dim down for a little courtesy lighting when not at full brightness. the sealed wiring, controller, and everything makes it well worth the $130.

after tapping into dome ground at the connecter block under the dash, the kc cyclone lights work but stay on all the time as do the dome light.they will not fade on and off with the key fob.disconnecting the tap wire restores the fade function of the dome light.is this circuit load sensitive? the aux lights only draw .42 amps each.any help would be great!! the vehicle is a 2015 taco

:notsure:... I have all leds and my load didnt cause that problem. Not sure what would cause that. Are you sure you tapped the ground and not the power?

There was some back and forth about 15 vs 16 in here. Below is the correct wire under the dash.
